The Mission

“Boys were taken out of high schools, colleges and businesses and put into the ranks.  They were re-molded; made over.  They were made to regard killing as the order of the day.  They were put shoulder to shoulder, and through mass psychology, they were entirely changed.  We use them for a couple of years and trained them to think nothing at all of killing and being killed.

Then, suddenly we discharged them and told them to make an ‘about face’! This time they had to do it on their own, readjusting without mass psychology, without aid and advice, and in the face of adverse nation wide propaganda.  We didn’t need them anymore, so we scattered them about without speeches, parades or recognition.  Many of these young men are destroyed because they cannot make that ‘about face’ alone.”

Since Viet Nam, three times more veterans have committed suicide than were killed in the war.  And it does not stop with Viet Nam Veterans, or Desert Storm Veterans.  NBC has reported that 120 young men, veterans of the current conflict, commit suicide each week!  Divorce rates in the high 90th percentile, murder and abuse of spouses, alcohol and substance abuse nearly off the charts.  Military personnel and veterans are afflicted with symptoms such as:

• Numbing out
• Inability to Communicate experiences
• Severe medical issues
• Disturbing Dreams
• Anger Issues
• Hyper Alertness, inability to Relax
• Drug and Alcohol abuse
• Divorce and Family disbanding

Counseling has proved largely ineffective, military and VA treatment of PTSD with all it’s destructiveness has proven to be difficult and largely ineffective.  The effects on society are staggering.
